How We Help

The Junior League of Macon has been impacting our local community for more than 80 years.  We provide funding and trained volunteers for local projects focused on improving literacy and school readiness. In all of our endeavors, we are committed to building a better community.

Volunteer Opportunities

The Junior League of Macon is committed to volunteerism as one of the primary ways we help to build a better community. By providing quality volunteer opportunities for our members, as well as placing trained volunteers in the community, the Junior League of Macon seeks to be a force in improving literacy and school readiness. To learn more about our volunteer efforts, please visit our Community Programs page.

Collaborative Partnerships

In order to be an effective force in addressing the literacy needs of Macon, The Junior League of Macon actively participates in collaboration and partnership with organizations and schools that share our focus.

Community Awareness

Committed to bringing attention and awareness to the literacy needs in Macon, The Junior League of Macon is available to speak to organizations and groups on the issue of literacy, our programs and how others can help to ensure Macon becomes a literate community. To schedule a speaker from The Junior League of Macon to speak to your group/organization, please contact our office.

Training Women

The Junior League of Macon is committed to developing leadership and volunteerism in women through training events and volunteer opportunities provided throughout the year.

Fundraising

Fundraising is a huge part of our effort to better our community particularly in our focus area of literacy. Through the funds raised, we are able to provide trained volunteers for many community projects. Please mark your calendar for this year’s events.
