New Members: About the Provisional Course

Membership in the Junior League of Macon begins with our New Member, or Provisional, course.  Each fall, our new members begin a series of activities that includes community service, education, training, team building and fun.  Through this experience you will get to know the League and the positive impact we have on our community, and we will get to know you and how we can help you lead and serve in Middle Georgia.

Requirements in your Provisional year include:

  • Attending an all day retreat on a Saturday in August.
  • Attend four (4) Provisional meetings on the first Thursday of the month.
  • Attend and plan the provisional project.

In addition, you will work alongside active members and participate in one of our fundraisers, community impact projects (CIPS), and attend our General Membership Meetings on the second Tuesday of each month. To learn more, ask questions, and understand the obligations of membership, email us at provdev@jlmacon.org.
